CSMVigo’s Commitment to Gender Equality

The Conservatorio Superior de Música de Vigo strengthens its commitment in 2025 to effective gender equality in academic and artistic contexts. Equality is a core value of our institution and a fundamental principle for building a fairer and more inclusive educational community.

Feminist Commission

To advance this goal, the CSMVigo Feminist Commission is being established, with the purpose of:

  • Promoting balanced participation of women and men in teaching, artistic, and institutional activities.

  • Supporting training and cultural initiatives that incorporate a gender perspective.

  • Highlighting the contributions of women composers, performers, conductors, and creators throughout history and today.

  • Fostering safe spaces free from discrimination or gender-based violence.

The new Feminist Commission will serve as a driving force for integrating a gender perspective into the life of the conservatory and for promoting a more equal, diverse, and respectful institutional culture.
